Robert, Louisiana is the first real estate community in the Tangipahoa Parish from St. Tammany. Robert real estate is preparing to experience an influx of homeowners, due to several hundred residential lots coming on line. A Walmart Distribution Center has recently moved into the area, creating several hundred jobs and given a much needed shot in the arm to the local economy.

Champ Cooper Elementary School serves as the local educational facility for Robert real estate residents. Located in Ponchatoula, Champ Cooper Elementary School provides educational services for grades K-8. The Global Wildlife Center is the largest free-roaming wildlife preserve currently running in the United States. They provide safari rides daily. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Resort is a great place for family fun. Camping season is from March 1 through November 30 and provides campsites, cabin rentals, swimming pools, a whirlpool, fishing ponds, a game room, mini golf, canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals, RV storage, playground, basketball court, baseball field, laundry facilities, store and propane filling.
